God must have needed to add a bit of merriment to Heaven so he called Bill home on January 31. Born in Great Falls, Montana, on February 22, 1949, Bill was blessed with the gift of an engaging smile and an infectious laugh and lived 67 years embracing all that life had to offer.

He was comfortable on both land and sea. He loved being a native Montanan, fly fishing the rivers as a small child, big game hunting the western mountains, or bird hunting the plains.

He served as a Navy Corpsman in San Diego, California, during the Vietnam War. Scuba diving opened adventures in the waters of the Pacific Ocean and the Bahamas. Bill was well read in poetry, fiction, history, and the daily news.

They shared a great love affair from the moment their car doors bumped many years ago. Bill had a deep affection for his stepchildren – Marty, ordained minister/counselor, Edmond, OK; Michael, deputy sheriff, Fort Collins, CO; Marc, teacher/athletic director, Granby, CO; Molly, PhD professor, San Luis Obispo, CA, and nine grandchildren; his brothers, Bob and Peter, and their families.

Bill always loved a party.
