Payom Boonlaet Gunnarson, 62 of Great Falls, passed away March 26, 2015 of natural causes.
Survivors are daughter, Vickey (Jeff) Smith and grandson Daniel Smith; son, Scott (Jennifer) Gunnarson and grandsons, Andrew and Alex Gunnarson.
Payom was born May 28, 1952 in Phetchabun, Thailand. In 1974 she was married to Paul Gunnarson in Charleston, NC. She spent the next 28 years as an Airman’s wife, working at the commissary. She also worked at Park Place Healthcare and at Peking Garden. In 2002 the couple divorced.
She was proud of her heritage and was very active within the Thai culture, including the Thai Temple. Payom was well known for her cooking and her love of Thai music. One of her greatest joys in life was the time she spent with friends and family. Her family would like to give special thanks to “Apple Pie’s” close friends for being such a great support system.
