On Sunday, March 14, 2021, William Hinckley was reunited with his loving wife Darlene. Shortly after turning 75, he became ill with Covid that ended up taking his life.
Surviving family members are daughter Kimberly Kent, son Lance Hinckley, granddaughter Jade Crosier and sisters Carolyn Holland, June Seagrave, Helen Gauthier, and Corrinne Blair as well as many other extended family members.
Prior to his illness, William served as a volunteer Police Chaplain with the Saint Lucie County Police Department. He greatly enjoyed ministering to the community as well as the law enforcement officers. He loved the one-on-one time that he was able to have with each officer that would take him out for a ride-along.
William was a servant of God and will be greatly missed by family, friends, and members of the law enforcement community.
