Dominick Joseph Pastore, 93, of Sebastian, Florida passed away peacefully on Friday, March 19, 2021.
Dominick was born on May 13, 1927, in New Rochelle, New York, to the late Carlo and Domitizia Pastore. Immediately after his high school graduation, Dominick served in the United States Army during World War II. When he returned home, Dominick began a small construction business with his brother Carlo, then later completed his studies to become a certified accountant; Dominick’s career took him and his family from New York to Pennsylvania to Michigan, and finally to Washington D.C.
After his retirement in 1990, Dominick and Moya came to Sebastian, Florida. About two years into retirement, Moya noticed in their church bulletin that they were asking for help in the parish office, and that began Dominick’s 10+ years of service at St. Sebastian Catholic Church. Dominick’s life was defined by his commitment to public service and by his devotion to his family.
Dominick was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Moya B. Pastore; sister, Mary Andrews; brother, Carlo Pastore; son-in-law, Jerome DeLong; and grandson, Rodney Welling.
He is survived by his children, Mary Elizabeth Kwiatkowski (Vince), Moya Jarboe (Jim), Gerard Pastore (Jeanne), Deirdre Anne Welling (Rod), Dr. Dominick Pastore (Christine), and Kevin Jude Pastore; 22 grandchildren and 17 greatgrandchildren.
