Phil was born in Great Falls on January 25, 1963 to Harvey and Elizabeth LaRocque. He spent his whole life in the Sand Coulee area and graduated from Centerville High School. He worked in several different areas of construction throughout his life. He was very talented, and a perfectionist with his work, but found his passion in drywall.

On December 1, 1983 Phil married his one true love, Kimberly Johnson. The couple was blessed with four daughters and nearly 32 years of marriage.

Phil is survived by his loving wife, Kimberly Johnson LaRocque of Sand Coulee; daughters, Nicole LaRocque of Great Falls, Ashley Barrett LaRocque of Great Falls, Brooke (Jesse) Harris of JBLM, WA and Tabatha Barrett LaRocque of Sand Coulee; sisters, Donna (Ed) Sowers of Great Falls, Shirley (Lynus) Sebastian of Bozeman; brothers, Harvey (Pat) LaRocque and Fred (Kim) LaRocque, both of Sand Coulee; as well as 15 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his spoiled dog, Gracie, and the five cats he lovingly referred to as “The Taliban”.

Those who have preceded him in death include his parents; a sister, Susan LaRocque; and niece, Crystal Martinez.
