Emma “Jean” Woods passed away on November 26, 2014 at the age of 87. She was born in Great Falls to John and Mary Greer and raised on the family ranch in Simms, graduating from Simms High School as valedictorian in 1945. She continued her education at Western Montana College, earning her teaching certificate. In 1946, she married the love of her life, Rex E. Woods, of Augusta. Jean enjoyed her work as an accountant for many years. She was a life-long member of the Simms United Methodist Church, serving as pianist for the church and as an active member of the United Methodist Women’s Organization for more than 50 years. Her hobbies included sewing, flower gardening, playing the piano, dancing with her husband, and playing a good game of pinochle. She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Rex E. Woods of Simms, daughters; Becky (Chris) Westfall of Kaneohe, Hawaii, Sandra Woods (Roland Nord) of Mankato, Minnesota, sons; Rex C. Woods of Simms, Clinton (Astrid) Woods of Billings, and Kyle (Cheryl) Woods of Fairfield, a brother; James A. (Kay) Greer of Conrad, ten grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.
