Donna L. Johnson, 55, of Warrior Run Boulevard, fought a courageous battle with cancer and went to be with the Lord with her family by her side early Tuesday, January 15, 2008.

She was born December 2, 1952, in Lewisburg, a daughter of Martha E. (wertz) Newman and the late Donald L. Newman. On June 16, 1972, she married Kim W. Johnson and they have celebrated 35 years of marriage.

She was a 1970 graduate of Milton High School.

Donna began her working years at Pammy J’s, Watsontown and then later worked at Perkins, Lewisburg, Quaker Manufacturing, Lewisburg, Turbotville Dress Co., Saati-Tech, Turbotville, Nordic Gear of Milton. She was well known as the “hoagie lady” at the Country Friends Restaurant, McEwensville.

She was a member of Friendship Baptist Church, McEwensville and former member of the Faith Chapel, White Deer where she had taught Sunday school.

Donna enjoyed sewing, cooking, and collecting gemstones, and loved her canine companion, Tucker.

In addition to her husband and mother, she is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Jason and Teresa Johnson of Turbotville, and Donald and Anna Johnson of White Deer; a daughter and son-in-law, Angie and Todd Hack of Jerseytown; three grandchildren, Landon and Braeden Hack and Brooke Johnson; and one brother, Steve Newman of New Columbia.
