Betty E. Daley, 91, passed away on Wednesday, May 4, 2016 at the Immanuel Lutheran Home in Kalispell, Montana. She enjoyed serving, gardening and craft work.  An interesting part of her life was when she became friends with the “Flathead Indian Tribe” and the Chief was 2 Feathers. They adopted her into the tribe when she broke her arm and they gave her the name “Little Broken Wing”.

She lived in Flathead Valley her whole life and graduated high school from Flathead County High School. While she was in high school she sang in the choir and was active in sports; she happened to be a Champion Trampoline Jumper.  During her life, she worked in several stores as a sales lady and during the war she worked at the Oregon Ship Yard as an editor expeditor.

Betty married Carl Daley in 1961. She had many happy years with him; a loving husband and companion. They had a son Michael Daley, who passed at an early age. He was the joy of Betty’s life.  She was a member of the Bethlehem Lutheran Church where she sang in the church choir, taught Vacation Bible School and also taught Ladies Bible Study. She truly enjoyed people and friends very much; especially enjoyed life to the fullest. Betty was also a member of the Eagle’s Auxiliary and Kalispell Birthday Club.

She is preceded in death by her parents Otto and Elsie Schultz, son Michael Daley, sister Virginia Wagner and brother Clifford Schultz and niece Berylene Taylor . She is survived by her nephew Beryle Wagner of Columbia Falls.
