Yvonne L. Abram, age 82, gained her wings on June 10, 2021 in Ardmore, Oklahoma. Her home going celebration will be Wednesday, June 16, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Jehovah Missionary Baptist Church with Reverend Gregory Newhouse officiating.
Yvonne L. Abram was born May 26, 1939 to Leo Shannon and Laura (Wright) Shannon in Milo, Oklahoma. She was a graduate of Central High School.
She married Johnnie E. Abram on June 15, 1962 and moved to Kansas City, MO, where they resided for 13 years. They returned home to Milo, Oklahoma.
Yvonne was a member of the Jehovah Missionary Baptist Church, where she served on the Mission and Usher boards. She loved gardening, cooking, fishing and sewing. She also had a love and raised exotic chickens. She loved animals but above all, she loved her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband Johnnie Abram; her parents, Leo and Laura Shannon; Sisters, Willie Lee, Ortha Dean Anderson, Pamela Stevenson, Shirley Jean Brown; brothers, Lincoln Shannon and Tilmon Shannon; a brother-in-law Henry Lee and sister-in-law Grace Shannon.
She is survived by her son Leo Abram, two daughters, Sharon Beatty(Carlton); and Linda Abram; sisters, Vernita Traylor; Peggy Stevenson(James); Sandra and Rae Ann Shannon; brothers, Earl Shannon(Arzelia) and Clenard Shannon; sister-in-law Hattie Shannon; brother-in-laws, Gilbert Anderson, Eugene Brown and Larry Stevenson. Her grandchildren, Kendrick Abram; Taron Abram; Comesha Woods, Shemetria Cohee(Toby); Jonathan Abram, Nakeisha Sampson; Carleton Beatty Jr.; Denisha Beatty and Emanuel Beatty; 15 great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
