WINSTED – GILLEY – Yvonne E. Gilley, 80, passed away peacefully on September 5, 2017 surrounded by her family. She was the loving wife of the late John H. Gilley for 39 years. Born August 1, 1937 in Maidenhead, UK; the daughter of the late William and Nancy (Winch) Cripps. Yvonne worked for the Town of Winchester for over 30 years retiring in December of 2016. She loved going to the casino, enjoyed going on drives with her family and grand dogs and was an avid reader. Her fondest memories were that of her magical family trips to Disney World. She leaves two sons, Tracy McKay and wife Shirley of Meriden and John A. Gilley and wife Jennifer of Winsted; daughter, Julie Bazzano and husband Joseph of Barkhamsted; grandchildren, Hunter Frost-Gilley of Winsted, Marisa Ganavage and husband Jeffrey of Waterbury, Kerra Maurer and husband Joshua of Simsbury, Joseph Bazzano, IV, of Barkhamsted, Mariel Gilley and Pearl Gilley, both of Winsted; and her beloved cat, Oreo. She was pre-deceased by a son, Robert Gilley, an infant son, Christopher McKay and two brothers.
