Yuvon Lou Boomershine was born November 19, 1931, in Grand Rapids, Michigan, the daughter of Royce and Freda (Zenk) Milthaler and went home to be with her Lord on September 5, 2015, at her residence in Galesburg. On January 29, 1950, she was united in marriage to Roger E. Boomershine in Grand Rapids, MI. Roger and Yuvon owned Edie Adam’s Cut & Curl in Kalamazoo, Urbandale, and Battle Creek from 1969 until 1980. Following retirement, she and Roger owned and operated Galesburg Retirement Home from 1984 until 2012.

Yuvon was a long-time member of Prairie Baptist Church. Roger preceded her in death on October 9, 2011.

She was also preceded by a son-in-law Lloyd Hirth and a brother, Royce Milthaler. Surviving are their children, Roy (Carla) Boomershine of Springfield, OH, Jerrie (Lynn) Homan of Mount Pearl, Newfoundland, Diane (Clifford) Lipscomb of Climax, Marjorie Hirth of Jackson, Nancy (Michael) Mueller of Galesburg, Robert (Lori) Boomershine of Galesburg, Ronald (Julie) Boomershine of Schoolcraft, and Barbara (Scott) Belland of Galesburg; 32 grandchildren; 48 great-grandchildren.
