Wylene Whitfield-Spencer

Wylene Whitfield-Spencer, 77, a resident of Gooding, passed away Sunday, January 6, 2013 at her daughter’s home in Twin Falls.

Wylene was raised and spent the majority of her life in Gooding, Idaho. She enjoyed dancing and was energized by all kinds of music. When her day was done, she would enjoy turning up the tunes at home and often would be entertained into all hours of the night. Often her children would remind her of tomorrow’s school time. Camping at Trapper Inn was her favorite place to be in the summertime.

At home, she loved her kittys. After “Killer” went to kitty heaven, she adopted her ”Trouble” kitty and was comforted in kitty heaven with him around.

She also had the “shop until you drop” talent and loved to wear out her companions of the day just shopping. Her children shared that often they were “the droppers while shopping.”

Often times she could be found at the Senior Center with Juanita making crafts. But most famous of all in her life was her bartending skills. She was the comforter, story listener & teller, counselor for the miss directed, and just all around professional bartender.

Wylene is survived by one brother Velden Lynn (Pam) Spencer of Ramona, Ca., one sister-law, Ruth Spencer of Gooding, cousin Shirley Mocroft,  two sons, Ronald (Debbie) Young, and Shawn (Jolene) Jones of Gooding, three daughters, Robin Mullinix, Crystal Ortega of Twin Falls, and Heather (Allen) Young of Wendell, 11 grandchildren, Charity, Jason, Daniel, Cody, Shanon, Myriel, Wytina,Angel,Sean, Sarah, and Christopher, and 24 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, many other family members and many special friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Theron and Glenn, one great-granddaughter, Brooke, and Houston (Mr. Fat Cat).
