Woodrow McClellan Thomas
Woodrow McClellan Thomas, 75, of Kingwood passed away peacefully, Tuesday, August 29, 2017, at Mon General Hospital with family and friends by his side.
Woodrow was a son of the late George Abraham and Wanda Josephine Gumney Thomas, he was born on January 10, 1942, in Albright.
Woodrow was a coal miner for many years and retired from Island Creek, now known as Consol Energy. He was married on March 3, 1962, to his one true love, Barbara Sue Thomas. Woodrow extremely loved being with his family and friends unconditionally. He was and always will be the strong connectional piece that held everyone and everything together. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and being outdoors in God’s beautiful creations, as he always saw the beauty in everything. He blessed everyone that crossed his path and effected the lives of so many, he will be missed by all.
In addition to his loving wife of 55 years, he leaves to cherish his memories four children: Vaun Thomas and companion Jeffery Ellis, Ronald Thomas & wife, Brenda, Lucinda Cutlip & husband, Donald, Sandra Trickett & husband, Trenton. He was a loving grandfather to four grandchildren: Ronald Thomas, Brittney Thomas and husband, Robert Beerbower, Danyelle Burke and husband, Josh and Jessica Thomas. He was also a loving great-grandfather to four great-grandchildren; Xavior Thomas, Brantley Leonard, Audrianna Burke and Robert McClellan Beerbower. He is also survived by one sister, Wanda Maye Diaz and a brother and sister by heart, Barbara and Phray Kercheval.
He was also preceded in death by his sister, Sandra Thomas.
The family would like to thank each and every one for their love, prayers and support during the loss of such an amazing man.
