Winifred I. Kepner passed away on Friday, September 28, 2012 at the Masonic Home of New Jersey in Burlington, NJ. She was 91 years of age. Winifred was the beloved wife of the late Richard C. Kepner and the loving mother of Phyllis M. Kepner (Kim) of Burlington and Elaine C. Hollowell (Allan) of Mt. Holly. She is also survived by her brother and sister, a niece Gwen Schwartz of Harrisburg, PA and her family, and close friends Pat, Marsha, Linda and Donna. Over the years Winifred had worked as a secretary for the Union National Bank, the Burlington County Institute of Technology, Githen’s Center and Carlson Craft.

She was an avid reader and spent many happy hours at the local library. She enjoyed playing the piano and “practiced” every day. She was a beautiful seamstress and knitter and made many lovely creations for family and friends. A wonderful cook, she would often provide meals for anyone in need. Always generous in spirit, she volunteered her time and talents as a room mother, 4-H leader, church choir director and Sunday school teacher. She could swim like a fish and loved to practice Tai Chi and take neighborhood walks. She was an active member of the First United Methodist Church of Mt. Holly for many years. She always had a little joke to tell and we will miss her smile.
