Wilson “Bill” Ellis

Wilson J. “Bill” Ellis, 85 passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, June 5, 2016.
Born in Moreland, Idaho on December 5, 1930 to Orvil and Lula (Grieves) Ellis. Grew up in Moreland. At 14 his family moved to Washington Terrace. Graduated from Weber High School, where he met his wife and eternal companion LaRue (Randall) Ellis. Married in the LDS Logan Temple in 1952. Bill served in the United States Air Force, and was a veteran of the Korean war.
Bill graduated from Weber College and University of Utah and worked for First Security Bank until he retired as the Layton area district Bank Manager after 30 years in banking. Bill and LaRue served two LDS missions; one in the London England Mission, and a family history mission in Laie, Hawaii. Bill served as a temple worker in the Ogden Temple for several years.
Bill is survived by his wife of 64 years, LaRue Randall Ellis, his two sons: Bret (Laurel) Ellis and Kyle (Kay) Ellis; his sister Margaret Jeppsen and brother Keith Ellis.
He was preceded in death by his brother Boyd Ellis.
