Wilma McNeill, 90 formally of Newburg, WV, went to Heaven on Friday, December 26, 2014 at Heartland of Preston County with family by her side. She was a member of the Newburg United Methodist Church. The most important event in her life was salvation through trusting Jesus Christ as her Savior. Wilma was born February 13, 1924 at Scotch Hill, daughter of the late John “Jake” and Effie Larew Mitter. She was married to Carl McNeill on July 6, 1951. Wilma was a very special mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to all who knew her. She was an employee of Ballard Aircraft in Arthurdale during WWII. Newburg Department Store, Silcott’s Store, Jennings Store and Chuck’s Store in Newburg.
