Those left to honor Lucy’s memory include her husband of 53 years, Robert; two sons, Bill Wolfe and his friend, Carolyn Elam of Monroe; and Robert L. “Bobby” (and Phyllis) Wolfe of Pella, Iowa; daughter, Carol (and Ron) Wheeldon of Newton; her eleven grandchildren and her six great-grandchildren and one great-grandchild on the way; three brothers, John W. “Bill” Jenkins and his friend, Gladys Ervin of Newton; James “Jim” (and Annie) Jenkins of Lincoln, Nebraska; and Dean Jenkins of Newton; her sister-in-law, Judy Jenkins of Monroe; many nieces and nephews; and her special friend, Bambi Wolfe. She was preceded in death by her parents, Daniel and Aura (Fleming) Jenkins; great-granddaughter, Hannah L. Swarts in 2001; brother, Dan Jenkins; and two sisters, Merle Reedholm and Elma Rodgers.
Lucy worked 16 years at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Iowa in Des Moines, Iowa. She retired in 1996 and was working in the Micro Film Department.
Lucy enjoyed watching deer, playing cards, fishing, mushroom hunting, doing puzzle books, cooking and baking, and being with her family and friends.
