She lived in this area for 49 years. She was a former Elementary School Teacher and retired Choral Director. She was a graduate of Ball State Teacher’s College.
She was a member of Elwood 1st United Methodist Church and was a Soriety Member at Ball State Teacher’s College. She was also a Ball State Prom Queen.
She is survived by her daughter: Shelley McKinley of Anderson. Son: James M. & wife Joan McKinley of Muncie. Sister: Helen Russell of Coldwater, Michigan. Aunt: Elizabeth Button of Winimac, Indiana. Niece: Connie Winbigler of Coldwater, Michigan. Two Grandchildren: Sara McKinley & Jamie McKinley. Her pet dog: Buster.
She was preceded in death by her husband whom she married july 4, 1954: James W. McKinley on April 5, 1987. Parents: Clyde E. & Dessel Calloway Button.
