Wilma J. “Ma” Dugan, 85, of Bloomington passed away Friday, June 01, 2012 at Garden Villa. Born October 20, 1926 in Dugger, IN, she was the daughter of John and Nellie Brewer.
Wilma was a loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed watching Bloomington High School South Athletics, where her voice could always be heard. She was such a fun loving and outgoing person all her life. Supporting kids, on any team (not just Bloomington teams) was so important to her. Several years ago, she was presented with the game ball from a state championship baseball game that took place up north. She did not know anyone on this team, but made it known who she was supporting. From the time her grandsons Ty and Kyle, began playing sports she very rarely missed any of the games. There were times, when she led cheers with the cheerleaders. These were the kinds of things that made Wilma the kind of person she was.
Wilma was an usher for many Indiana University sporting events and worked as a bookkeeper for Cowden Trucking. She will be missed by her family and many people in the community.
Survivors include two sons, Phil Fred Dugan, Edward Lee “Ed” Dugan, two grandsons, Ty Dugan, Kyle Dugan and one granddaughter, Stormy Dawn Dugan all of Bloomington. She was preceded in death by her parents, four sisters, Loren “Sissy” Gray, Hilda Gladdings, Bonnie Meeks, Ruth Madison, two brothers, Claude Brewer, Charles “Romp” Brewer and a brother-in-law, Clifford Elroy Dugan.
