Willie Lee Potts was born in Ruston, Louisiana on May 7, 1932. He was the oldest of eight children and embraced the role of provider, confidant and leader of his family. On July 12, 1956, he was joined in holy matrimony to Gloria Dean Deloney Potts, this union lasted until Gloria’s home going on March 29, 2002. Four children were born from this union, Gregory, Connie, Willie and James.
