Willie Frank Davenport Sr., a resident of Newburgh, NY, passed away peacefully on May 11, 2022 at the Fishkill Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing in Beacon, NY; he was 84 years old. He was born on May 8, 1938, son of the late Henry & Pearl (Jackson) Batton.
January of 1960, he married Betty Jean, who predeceased him on May 25, 2000.
Willie had tremendous musical talent, he performed in bands all over Rockland County and New York abroad.
Willie is survived by his six children: Jimmy Hamilton, Simone Cenname, Dale Davenport, Willie Frank Davenport Jr., Karl & Kraig Davenport. He was predeceased by his daughter Claudenette Hamilton.
Willie is also survived by his two sisters and one brother: Gloria Robinson, Carl Batton and Carol Canady; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews & friends.
