William Steven Warner, Jr. (Bill), passed away on Friday, June 29, 2012 at the age of 51 in Bloomington, in the final stage of renal failure. Bill was born on July 25, 1960 in Bloomington to Ann (Schell) Wrenn (married to Dr. Robert Wrenn) of Bloomington and William Steven Warner, Sr. (survived by Mrs. Meredith Warner) of Greenwood.
Bill graduated from Center Grove High School in 1979 and lived in Greenwood until 1982, when he returned to Bloomington. A highly skilled carpenter, Bill spent his life building houses in the Indianapolis and Bloomington areas. His work includes homes around Geist Reservoir in Fishers, as well as in the Bloomington neighborhoods of Sterling Woods, Gentry Estates, and multiple individual properties. Near the end of his career, Bill built the home and lighthouse at Lake Lemon Marina.
He loved his work and the crews with whom he worked. Bill engaged the world with a sharp wit, detailed memory and deep gentleness. He loved a good book, sunny days listening to his record collection, and flying kites with his granddaughter. Bill was companion and partner to Sandra J. Warner, and was father to William S. Warner III (Will), Christina D.A. Warner, Jeremy S. Johnson, and Justin M. Heifner.
In later years, he helped to raise his granddaughter, Adrianna M. Johnson. He played significant roles as son, brother, grandfather, uncle, cousin, and kind friend to many.
