William W. Smith, 57, of Savannah Georgia and formerly of Terre Haute, passed away March 27, 2014 in his residence. William was born February 22, 1957 in Terre Haute to Willard Shaw and Nancy Smith. William was a 1976 graduate of Terre Haute South Vigo High School and a 1980 graduate of Indiana State University. William was an accomplished artist and musician, he was working for Gallery 209 in Savannah at the time of his death. William was preceded in death by his father, Willard Shaw and his mother, Nancy Smith Bice in September of 2012 and his maternal grandparents, Wendell and Eva Schott Smith. He is survived by a sister, Carol Smith of Evansville, an aunt, Marianne Hale of Terre Haute, an Uncle David Smith of Bicknell, Indiana. He is also survived by his step-father, Sam Bice of Shelburn, Indiana and three cousins.
