LaLonde, William T.Bay City, Michigan Mr. LaLonde passed Tuesday September 24, 2013 at his residence surrounded by his family. Age 87 years. He was born June 8, 1926 in Bay City and has resided here all of his life. Bill was a member of St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church, graduated from Bay City Central High School in 1944 and retired as a tool designer at Bay City Chevrolet. He was an avid golfer, enjoyed a day on his boat, running, walking, tinkering, writing his accomplishments in his daily journal and enjoyed wintering in Naples, Florida. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during WW II in Central Europe, receiving the European African Middle Eastern Theater Ribbon, W/1 Bronze Battle Star, Victory Medal, Asiatic Pacific Theater Ribbon, Good Conduct Medal and the Army of Occupation Medal-Japan.He is survived by his children and their spouses; Denise LaLonde Pashak, Paul LaLonde, Bethany and James Sequin, Michele and Kevin Clements and Joseph LaLonde, his grandchildren; Amy Olson-Ashley, Eric Olson, Paige Pashak, Jeffrey (Danielle) LaLonde, Gregory LaLonde, Andrew LaLonde, Jennifer Sequin, Janelle Sequin, Lindsey Flynn and Shannon (Jeffrey) Carrier, Alexia LaLonde and Zachary LaLonde, his great grandchildren; Jordan, Karissa, Aundrea, Aiden, Maxwell, Cecelia and Lucille, two brothers and one sister; Edward LaLonde, Louise LaLonde and Ronald (Jeanie) LaLonde. On May 19, 1951 he married his wife of 60 years Suzanne M. (LaDouceur) LaLonde and she preceded him in death on February 15, 2012. Bill was also preceded in death by his Mother Bertha Babcock and his father and step mother; Edward and Mary LaLonde. The family would like to extend a special thank you Bill’s caregivers; Donna Dennis, Pam Jezowski and Stephanie Noah for the kind and compassionate care they provided for Bill during the time they cared for him.
