William S. Sames, 79, of Fountain Hill passed away on July 2, 2014 in St. Luke’s University Hospital. He was the loving husband of Margaret “Peg” (Kriebel) Sames. They would have celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary in September. Born on June 12, 1935 in Fountain Hill, he was the son of the late Charles and Mildred (Wehr) Sames. Bill graduated from Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and began his career as a pharmacist at Hunsicker’s Pharmacy in 1957. In 1973, Bill bought into a partnership at Hunsicker’s Pharmacy until the time he sold it in 1993. Afterwards he worked at Laneco Pharmacy, Coopersburg and part-time at Ritter Pharmacy, Bethlehem. He was an active member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Bethlehem, where he served on the Church Council and Finance Committee. He was also a member of the Lehigh Valley Pharmaceutical Association, having served as Past President and the Fountain Hill Republican Club. Bill was an avid golfer who loved all sports, especially the Philadelphia Eagles and the Phillies. Surviving with his loving wife, Peg; daughters, Debbie Fair and husband Greg of Fountain Hill; Sandy Fuquay and husband Jesse of Nazareth; grandsons, Chris, Matt, Steven, Jason; brother, Richard Sames and wife Carolyn of Milford, DE.
