William Roland Walker, 80, Gainesville, passed away October 5, 2009 at his residence after an extended illness. He was born December 21, 1928 in Hazard, Kentucky, and recently resided in Gainesville, Georgia. Mr. Walker, a longtime Anderson resident, owned and operated Walker’s Regal Market in Perkinsville and was a real estate broker in Indiana and Arizona, retiring from Bill Walker Realty.
He graduated from Frankton High School and later from Ball State University. He was a Mason with the Frankton Lodge #607 and a member of the Scottish Rite.
He is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law, Annette & Glenn Logan of Gainesville, Georgia and Andrea & Francisco Garcia of Chandler, Arizona; son & daughter-in-law, Brad & Ellen Walker of Seattle, Washington; sister, Anna Borum of Anderson; brother, Jerry Walker of Okeechobee, Florida; seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Joanne Foust Walker and his brother, Eugene Walker.
