William R. Doebele, 85, of Salisbury Twp., died Friday, November 7, 2014, at Manorcare in Bethlehem. He was the husband of Katherine (Trivanovich) Doebele. They were married for 59 years this past September. Born in Fountain Hill, he was the son of the late William F. and Vilma Doebele. Bill honorably served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was employed by Sarco Manufacturing, where he served as past union president. He was a former member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Bethlehem. Bill enjoyed music, and was a drummer in different local jazz bands in the Lehigh Valley. Survivors: In addition to his loving wife Katherine, are his daughter Michele Buckley and husband Timothy of Delaware, Ohio; grandchildren Bryce, Landen and Sydnee; sister Dolores Kennedy.
