DERRY – William R. Derry, 82, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 13, 2022 after a brief illness. He was the loving husband of Margo (Reynolds) Derry for 55 fantastic years. Born July 18, 1940 in Burlington, VT; the son of the late Robert W. and Dorothy (Whitten) Derry.
Bill was a talented hairstylist and affectionately referred to by nieces as the “gypsy uncle.” His love of travelling and moving is apparent in his over fifteen residents across the country. He loved sailing and he and his wife lived on the boat for over a year. They had several boats over the years and have enjoyed sailing together for twenty plus years. They also traveled by RV for three years in a row at one time.
Bill and Margo even entered the West Coast Ensenada International Race once not placing but puttering along enjoying their time.
In addition to his devoted wife, he is survived by two granddaughters, Regina Harrison and husband Mark of TX and Kristina Nicole Sisk of VT; 5 great grandchildren, Liliana, Timothy, Jr., Rocco, Phenix and Ruby, all of TX; close sister, Judy Greenier of Barkhamsted; and eight beloved nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a son, Scott Sisk and a brother, Robert Derry.
