Muncie-William R. “Bill” Devers Sr., 88, passed away Sunday evening, April 24, 2011, at the Golden Living Center following a brief illness. He was born on August 22, 1922 in Muncie, the son of Ransom O. and Hildra (Hart) Devers.
Mr. Devers is a 1941 graduate of Central High School. Bill served in the U.S.
Survivors include three sons, Bill Devers Jr. (wife-Linda), Muncie, Danny R. Devers Sr. (wife-Lori), Jonesboro and Jackie J. Devers (wife-Rebecca), Anderson; eleven grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; 1 great, great grandson.
Besides his wife of 53 years, Barbara, he is preceded in death by one brother, Harry Devers and one sister, Leona Heaston.
