William Patrick Coggins, 64, of Pendleton, passed away on June 23, 2013 at his residence.
He was born on June 24, 1948 in Scranton, Pennsylvania. William graduated from Indiana State with a Bachelors Degree, and from Ball State with a Masters Degree. He was a teacher and coach for 42 years at the Ebbert Vocational School, Madison Heights, and Anderson High School, teaching business, and Co-op. He coached football, baseball, and track over his career. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
William is survived by his loving wife of 40 years whom he married August 17, 1973, Kimberly Burton Coggins of Pendleton, son, William Burton Karissa Coggins of Pendleton, daughter, Kelly Kathleen James Colwell of Anderson, sister, Kathleen Kenneth Steel of Valparaiso, brother, Michael Coggins of Valparaiso; grandchildren, Reid James Colwell, Emerson Kate Colwell, William Patrick Coggins, Connor David Coggins; and special nephew, Brett Steel.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Gertrude Coggins, father, James Coggins Sr., and his brother, James Coggins Jr.
