William Odell Robb 81, of Cairo passed away Saturday, January 23, 2021. He was born July 23, 1939, to Willie and Iva Dell Robb of Higbee, MO.

He attended school in Armstrong, MO and graduated in 1957. He was the “star” basketball player for the Armstrong Comets and loved sharing his memories with the family. Immediately following High School he worked for the Highway Department then enlisted in the National Guard. He retired after a 30 year career with Wabash, Norfolk & Western and Norfolk & Southern.

Odell married Sherry Huston on September 8, 1961, in a small ceremony at Jefferson Avenue United Methodist Church and she survives of the home. Also surviving are his children, Lori Smith and husband Gary, Dan Robb and wife Dianna, Kelli Ward and husband Dan; five grandchildren, Allison Foster (Nathanial), Meagan Robb, Morgan “Robb” Gorsline (Nathaniel), Austin Ward and Carter Ward; two step-grandchildren, Erica Trusty (Aaron) and Patrick Smith (Brandi); great grandchildren Madelyn, Bronson & Jaynie Foster, step great grandchildren Mason, Ellison & Whitlee Trusty & Macklynn, Oaklynn & Sutton Smith; many nieces, nephews and other family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie & Iva Dell Robb, brother, Olan Robb, and infant sister, Hilda Laverne Robb.

Odell was baptized in a creek by Mount Ararat Baptist Church near Higbee, MO. Later he became a member of the Cairo Christian Church for numerous years where he served as a deacon. He was strong in his faith until the very end. Odell lived with Sherry on a farm in Cairo for 47 years where they raised crops, cattle, hogs and chickens.  He was an avid St Louis Cardinals fan and enjoyed attending Opening Day with his son and daughter-in-law for many years. Odell also loved hunting with friends and family.
