William Michael “Mike” Thomas, age 69, of Picayune, MS passed away Sunday, July 4, 2021. A native of Freeport, TX, he was a Jet Mechanic for the US Navy. He was a Shriner, an avid fisherman, and outdoorsman. He was a loving husband, stepfather, brother, uncle, and friend who will be dearly missed by all who knew was preceded in death by his parents, William Howard Thomas and Mildred Inez Tuttle Thomas; granddaughter, Emmalee Rose Halstead; brothers, Art Thomas and William “Bill” to cherish his memory are his wife, Doris Aleta Anderson Thomas; stepdaughters, Amy Gardner and Celeste (Steven Daughtery) Dunigan; stepson, Chad Christopher Halstead; grandson, Caleb Christopher Halstead; brother, Hoyd (Leona) Rhodes Jr.; sisters, Barbara Jo Anna Love and Bobbie Jane T (David) Hagewood; numerous nieces and nephews.
