William Meldin Raeburn

William Meldin Raeburn passed away of heart failure on March 1, 2013 at his home in Lakeland, Florida.

William was born on September 7, 1937 to William and Susan Raeburn.  He graduated from Ann Arbor High

School, Eastern Michigan College, and received a masters degree from the University of Michigan.  Bill taught

mathematics and computer programing at Romulus High School, Homer Public Schools, and Tecumseh

High School, retiring from the later in 1993.

Bill served as an assistant scout master of the Britton Area Boy Scouts and enjoyed many camping

opportunities with the scouts, as well as his own family.  He thoroughly enjoyed his winters in Florida where

he kept busy helping others who were having problems with their computers.  Bill was a member of the

Michigan.

Surviving William are his wife of 51 years, Peggy,  two sons:  William Bruce (Laurie) of Shorewood,

Illinois and Stephen (Janet) of Dexter, Michigan, along with five beloved grandchildren: Amanda,

William Christopher, David, Adam and Kathryn. Other survivors include a brother Thomas (Carol Ann),

a sister Dianne (Bill) Speer, and  two sisters-in-law:  Joan and Joyce.  He was preceded in death by his parents

and two brothers:  James and Jack.
