William M. Makras, 63, of Salem died Monday, January 6, 2014 at his home. He was born March 21, 1950 in Salem the son of the late Marinos and Katherine (Herron) Makras. Bill worked for General Motors in Lordstown as an assembler and during the Vietnam War he served in the U. S. Army. Survivors include his daughter, Felicia Cummings Makras of Holiday, Florida; 2 sisters, Anita (Jim) Bowers and Pauline Moyers both of Salem; a half sister, Darla Ping of Ashland, Oregon and 5 grandchildren. Besides his parents 2 brothers, George Makras and Robert Court, preceded him in death.
