William Lee Carmony, Jr., age 74, of Cicero, IN died Tuesday, September 6, 2011 at Riverview Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born at Indianapolis, IN, May 20, 1937 to William Lee and Loretta Marie (Woods) Carmony, Sr. Bill, as he was affectionately known, grew up in the Brightwood area of Indianapolis.
Mr. Carmony was employed at Witco-Richardson Company for 30 years. He then worked as maintenance manager at Keystone Square Mall for 6 years. He was an avid fan of auto racing, especially NASCAR. He also participated in car shows and swap meets. He enjoyed working in his yard and his garage
He married Patricia Ann (Teter) Carmony September 21, 1962. She survives him. Also surviving him are two sons: William Lee Carmony, III of Ooltewah, TN and Michael R. Dixon of Cicero, IN, two daughters: Carol Eileen Summers of Martinsville, IN and Leesa Lynn Carmony of Cicero, IN, 8 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother: Ronald E. Carmony.
