William L. Brooker, 81, of Ottawa, passed away June 27 at the Ottawa Pavilion.
Bill was born September 21, 1928 in Ottawa to Wilbur and Amelia (Gebhardt) Brooker. He served with the U. S. Army in Germany. He married Evalyn Louise McLean on November 21, 1954 at the First Baptist Church in Ottawa.
She died June 10, 2003. He was a member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, VFW and the American Legion Post # 33.
He is survived by one daughter, Tammy Penick of LaSalle; 3 grandchildren, Christina Kantor, Andrew Kennard and Amber Kennard; 2 great-grandchildren, Aubrey Bowman and Evalyn Kantor.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Evalyn.
