William L. Beretz, 89, of Bethlehem died on Thursday, January 22, 2015 at St. Luke’s Hospice House. He was the husband of Elizabeth (Mate) Beretz for 68 years. Born on October 25, 1925 in Bethlehem, he was the son of the late Louis and Elizabeth (Berecz) Beretz. William worked for the former Posh Construction as a steel worker for a number of years before retiring. He honorably served his country with the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help, Bethlehem as well as the Carpenters Union, American Legion and the Moose Lodge. Surviving in addition to his loving wife, cousin, Patty Miga of Bethlehem. He was predeceased by brother, David Beretz.
