William “Bill” John Fox passed away on November 29 after a long battle with cancer.

Born and raised in Pittsburgh, Bill went to Franklin Regional Senior High and earned a bachelor’s degree in Political Science while participating in ROTC at University of Pittsburg. He joined the Air Force after graduation and served for more than 17 years as a fighter pilot, flying A-10 “Warthogs”.

After retiring from the USAF, he became a pilot and a pilot instructor with United Airlines. He finished his career as a 737 Captain based in Denver.

Bill spent his career doing the job he loved – flying.

He was a member of the Our Lady of Loreto Knights of Columbus.

Bill is survived by his wife Beth Ramsey and two sons, Anthony and Kevin (Veronica) as well as his sister Sandra Kelman (Roy). Bill was preceded in death by his father Fred, his mother Olive and his brother Sam.
