William John “Bill” Fowler, age 66, went to spend his eternal life with the Lord, May 7, 2013, while at home with his family. He was born October 6, 1946 in Everett, Washington, a son of the late Walter Robert Fowler and Virginia Marie (Collins) Fowler. His wife of 45 years, Clara Gail (Gillispie) Fowler survives. They were united in marriage October 6, 1967.
Bill was the last surviving member of his immediate family. He was a graduate of Everett Washington High School. He was a Vietnam veteran having served in the US Marine Corp. He worked at various florists in the area as a floral designer which was his passion. He liked to spend his time studying the bible and spreading the word of God. He was the former Pastor of the Gospel Lighthouse for 15 years. He also enjoyed spending time with his family, and was a member of the New Testament Fellowship Church.
In addition to his wife he is survived by: three sons, Michael W. Fowler and wife Deena, Robert A. Fowler and wife Linda, and Kevin Fowler and wife Ashley, all of Grafton; four grandchildren, Joshua, Corey, Aaron, and Jordyn Fowler; his mother-in-law, Evelyn Marie Gillispie, of NC; brothers -in- law, Lawrence, Lloyd, Richard, and Brian Gillispie; two sisters-in-law, Rita Turner and Tammy Gillispie.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by: two brothers, Ronald Fowler and Larry Fowler; and two sisters-in-law, Connie Rogers and Janet Reed.
