William “Harris” Zinn, 67, returned to his heavenly home on September 28, 2017, after spending a lifetime in his beloved Almost Heaven, West Virginia. His firm belief in God and his devotion to his family were unwavering.

Harris was born to the late Royden S. Zinn, Jr. and the late Pauline Payne Zinn in Parkersburg, WV, on March 13, 1950. Along with being a Mountaineer fan, he was an avid hunter. He was a member at Horizons Church, Lost Creek, WV. His close relationship with God along with his steadfast devotion to his family will be remembered most by all who were blessed to know him. He graduated from Harrisville High School in 1968 and from West Virginia University in 1972 with a degree in Agriculture. Harris first moved to Clarksburg as manager of Southern States before eventually gaining employment with West Virginia Farm Credit. He worked as a real-estate appraiser for over 20 years in West Virginia, which allowed him to explore the beauties and wonders of a state that he adored. He owned and operated Zinn Appraisal Trails since 2000.

Harris was blessed with a loving, Christian family. He married his best friend, Linda Edeburn, on August 15, 1971, in Cairo, WV. Harris raised three amazing young men, Jeremy, Nathaniel, and Cory, who were his pride and joy. From the very beginning, he dedicated his children to God and encouraged them to explore the beauty of the gospels. He is dearly missed by his loved ones, who celebrate the fact that he is at peace with his Creator.

Harris is survived by his wife, Linda; his sons-Jeremy, Gray, LA, Nathaniel (Keli), Morgantown, WV, and Cory, Chicago, IL; his brother-Roy Zinn (Barbara), Tiffin, OH; and his sister-Paula Byrd (Richard), Smithville, WV, along with many loving nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents.
