Those left to honor Bill’s memory are his daughter, Rhonda (Scott) Morrill of Altoona, Iowa; his son, Robert (Kim) Van Arkel of Newton; two grandchildren, Adam and Ryan Van Arkel. He was preceded in death by his parents, Peter and Trina (Van Sant) Van Arkel; wife, Dorothy in 2007; and sister, Patricia Mae Van Wyk.
In his early years Bill farmed, later he worked for several farm implement dealers and he also worked for True Value.
Bill loved being with his grandsons, he enjoyed fishing, baseball and going to his families activities.
