William “Bill” H. Shaffer, III, 48, of Central City, passed away Thursday, December 17, 2020 at his home.
He was born February 23, 1972 in Centralia, the son of William Shaffer, II and Ricky Sue (Casner) Robinett. He married Janet Hammond and they later divorced. He married Patricia Beane and she survives in Centralia.
In addition to his wife, Patricia Shaffer of Centralia, he is also survived by two children: Hillery Hammond-Santiago and husband Efrain of Central City and Tyler Shaffer of Central City; a grandson: Ezra Quino of Central City; two step-sons: Cameron Reynolds of Centralia and James Wadley of Richview; two step-daughters: Valerie Reynolds of Centralia and Andrea Wadley of Murphysboro; a brother: Terry Knolhoff of St. Louis, Missouri; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, step-father: Darrell Robinett, and a a sister: Lynette Smith.
Bill enjoyed playing baseball and darts. He also enjoyed watching football games and he was an avid Dolphin’s Fan. Bill loved spending time with his children, family and friends.
