William H. Rumfelt, 81, of Pendleton, passed away August 22, 2013 at Community North Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born December 19, 1931 in Union County, Illinois to the late Christopher and Helen Rumfelt. He retired from the Chrysler Corporation in 1988 after 24 years of service as a machine operator. Bill loved the outdoors, camping, motorcycling, and his grandbabies.
He is survived by his wife Karen (McVay) Rumfelt of Pendleton, whom he married on July 13, 1966; son Marlin (Cheryl) Rumfelt of Greenfield; daughters: Cindy (Randy) Hammons of Greenfield; Dee (Mike) Sprague of New Palestine; son Randy Rumfelt of San Jose, CA; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; brothers John Vera of Sydney, Nebraska and Herman (Connie) Rumfelt of Anchorage, Alaska; and sister Colleen Veh of Washington state. Mr. Rumfelt was preceded in death by his brother Paul Rumfelt; and sisters Kathryn Leake and Jean Yelton.
