William Glover Holin, 98, of Des Moines, Iowa, passed away on Monday, December 6, 2021 at Senior Living in Des Moines.

William was born to Victor and Elizabeth (Glover) Holin in Saskatoon, Canada on December 21, 1922. William went to school in Minneapolis, Minnesota where he graduated high school. After school he enlisted in the US Army in 1942 and served during World War II. In 1945 he was married to Gertrude Antonczak and they later had three children, William, Mary and Charles.

After he returned, he went to Dunwoody College of Technology for and studied printing. When he was finished with school, he worked selling vacuums for Electrolux and then took a job with Meredith Corporation as a Printer. In later years took a job at the Des Moines Register, where he worked until retirement. During retirement William worked part time driving a school bus for the West Des Moines Schools.

William is survived by his daughter, Mary (Greg) Maitre, a son, William P. (Sue) Holin, a sister, Doris Bellefeuille, a granddaughter Andrea Bryan, five great-grandchildren, Mackenzie, Carter, Mallory, Bennett, and Andrew.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Victor and Elizabeth, wife, Gertrude, son, Charles, granddaughter, Melissa, two brothers, Robert and Hugh, and sister, Beverly.
