William C. Gentle, age 86, of Huntsville, AL passed away March 22, 2011.
Mr. Gentle was a member of Brownsboro Baptist Church. Our Daddy was a loving and humble man! He always had a song to sing everyday! Mr. Gentle was preceded in death by his parents, William M. & Nora Lee (Hartman) Gentle; his Son, James William Gentle; his Brothers: Milton, Cecil, Thomas & Ollie Gentle; his Sisters: Lucille Gentle, Sylvia Tate & Mable (Smith) Banks, Ruby McBride; Embraced as family, Ruby Hall, J.W. Atchley.
Mr. Gentle is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Mildred L. (Atchley) Gentle, son, Robert Wayne Gentle Sr., wife Carolyn; daughter, Rhonda Posey, husband Sherman; one granddaughter, Melody Sharpe, four grandsons: Tim Posey, Bobby Gentle, (Tracie); Billy Gentle, (Cindy); Brian Gentle. Four Great-granddaughters: Holly Sadler, (Chris); Lauren Sharpe, Kristen & Bethany Gentle; three great-grandsons: Robert, Will & Isaac Gentle; grand-puppy Princess. One brother, Eddie Gentle; three sisters: Goldie Barden, Jessie Ready & Bessie Acton. He embraced as sisters: Jennie Sublett & Eva Ikard, as a son, Tommy Thompson. He embraced with special bond, Marsha Quick, Lori Brooks, Jason Ikard, Linda Hampton, Debbie Allen & Linda Boyd. Many loving nieces, nephews and friends.
