Gary was born September 19, 1951 in Atlanta, Georgia to the late Harry James Beecham and the late Elizabeth Ruby Mae Beecham. He is survived by his older brother Harry James Beecham III, M.D. of Milton, FL and younger brother Allen Randle Beecham, D.O. of Canton, Ga.
In the course of his 69 years Gary lived in Georgia, Indiana, Florida and finally North Carolina. He was a passionate follower of Jesus Christ, loving husband of 48 years, dedicated father of 5 children and proud grandfather of 14. Gary was well known for his hospitality, generosity and sense of humor. He was a faithful elder at FIRE church and engaged in various leadership and discipleship roles. His interests included Bluegrass and Worship music, playing guitar, his dog Charlie, and exploring the Smokey Mountains with Cathy.
Survivors include wife, Cathy Beecham of Concord, NC son, Andy (Kucheli) Beecham and their children, Austin, Carter, and Sydney of Brownsburg, IN daughter, Karen Haefliger (Christoph) and their children, Ariana, Lydia, and Christina of Knonau, Switzerland daughter, Robin McIntire (Corey) and their children, Caleb, Sara, Heidi, and Jesse of Somerset, IN, son, Jeff (Jessica) Beecham and their children, Stone, Rosie, and Ranger of Dallas, GA and daughter, Grace (Ben John) McCall and son, Kipling of Antioch, TN.
