William F. Reichle, 92, of Holiday City Carefree section of Berkeley Twp., NJ passed away Friday, May 12, 2017 at Holiday Care Center, Berkeley Twp. Born in Newark, NJ, he lived in Irvington, NJ before moving to Berkeley Twp. 37 years ago. William was a Postal Worker for the United States Postal Service in Newark, NJ for 35 year, retiring in 1980.

He was a US Navy WWII veteran, serving in the Amphibious 111th Seabees from 1943 to 1946. He participated in the D-Day invasion, operating Rhino ferries and tugs on Omaha Beach. He was predeceased by his son in law Kenny Cascino in 2016. William is survived by his wife of 70 years, Sarahann (nee Oldroyd), his five children William “Bill” Reichle and his wife Beth of Linden, NJ, Robert “Bob” Reichle and his wife Jane of Union, NJ, Brian Reichle of S.C., Maryann Adams and her husband Greg of Toms River, Patricia “Patty” Cascino of Chatham, NJ, nine grandchildren Shaun, Jennifer, Gregory, Laura, Catherine, Lisa, Kenny, Matthew, Angela and eight great grandchildren.

Family will received friends on Wednesday May 17, 2017 9am to an 11am Service at Timiothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals 145 St. Catherine Blvd. Toms River, NJ. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
