William Willie E. Bilger, 64 died on Wednesday, November 19, 2014, at his Fairmount residence. Born Tuesday, October 31, 1950 in Ft. Wayne, Indiana.
He was son of the late Everett Bilger and the late Mary Foellinger Bilger. He attended North Side High School in Ft. Wayne. He proudly served in the Marines during Vietnam Conflict. He married Theresa Christy on February 14, 1994.
She survives in Fairmount. An engineer for 27 years in the Railroad, heretired from Norfolk Southern Railroad in 2010. He was a member of the American Legion Post 313 of Fairmount and Gas City VFW. He was a life long Cubs and Larry Bird fan. Also surviving are son, Robert (Chris Plodzik) Bilger of Vero Beach, FL, daughters, Wendie (Jeremie) Swaidner of Ft. Wayne, IN and Tina (Jay Makapagal) Bilger of Oakland, CA. and their mother, Maria (Torres) Bilger. 2 Grandchildren; Dustin and Corbin Swaindner, Ft. Wayne, IN Sister Ruth (Bill) Erickson, 3 Brothers: Jim Bilger, Terry (Sandy) Bilger, and Scott Bilger all of Ft. Wayne Numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his second wife, mary Bilger.
