Mr. William E. Madelung Sr., age 83, of Milford, beloved husband of 53 years to Rose Mary (Garaffa) Madelung, passed away on Tuesday, November 4, 2008 in Connecticut Hospice, Branford.
Bill was born on April 11, 1925 in New York, NY the son of the late William Earl and Mary Elizabeth Scott Rodenhurst Madelung. He served in WWII in the United States Navy as an Electrician’s Mate and retired as an Associate Professor after having taught at Norwalk State Technical College for many years.
In addition to his beloved wife Rose, survivors include, son William E. Madelung Jr. and his wife Kathy Gabrielle of Scottsbluff, NE; daughter Karen A. Madelung of Milford, son David G. Madelung of New Haven, son Thomas P. Madelung and his wife Cindi Sorrentino, and grandsons James, Owen and Samuel all of Branford, and son Richard S. Madelung and his wife Julie Nemitz and granddaughter Lucy all of Maplewood, NJ. He is also survived by a brother Donald Madelung and his wife Amy of Yaphank, NY. He was predeceased by a brother Robert Madelung of Lynn, MA.
