William E. “Bill” Paulhamus, 83, formerly of Hughesville died peacefully, Tuesday, August 10, 2021 in Carollton, GA. Surviving is his wife of 52 years, Beverly A. (Livermore) Paulhamus.
Born March 21, 1938 in Linden, he was a son of Dayton E. and Dorothy M. (Young) Paulhamus.
Bill was a 1956 graduate of Williamsport High School. Following graduation, he served his country proudly in the U.S. Army as a track wheel vehicle mechanic. After his honorable discharge Bill began working at Larry Herron Lincoln Mercury, Williamsport as an automobile mechanic for more than 20 years. He then began is own company Paulhamus Garage during which he also worked as a security guard at Burn International Security, Muncy. Bill later retired at the age of 75 after 13 years as a shuttlebus driver at Geisinger Medical Center.
Bill attended Stripling Chapel United Methodist Church Carrollton, GA. He was as a member of a hunting club and enjoyed hunting, bowling and working on cars.
Surviving in addition to his wife are two daughters Christina I. Cockfield (Dan) of Norristown and Mary J. Paulhamus (Paul Elzholtz) of Columbia, NJ; four nephews; and a niece.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife Betty (Mayor) Paulhamus; son Thomas C. Paulhamus; granddaughter Bonita Paulhamus; brother David Paulhamus; and a sister Betty Farnsworth.
